The question was: how powerful are the words consumers typically use to describe a product? To do this, we analysed the 12,000 pizzerias with our topic modeling technology to better understand how they describe their products and how they differ from others. We used data from our previous research to identify what the most useful words are for describing a pizza. In a few weeks, we’ll publish the results online and the tool will be freely available to everybody to make comparisons. What did we find out? Overall, a good way to describe a product is to use words like “fresh”, “homemade”, “healthy”, “local”, “organic”, “good for kids”, “freshly cooked” or “made in Italy”.
